2. Acceptance
By continuing with Google, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you use Palang for another person or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
3. Educational service
Palang provides lessons, translations, audio playback, guided repetition, goals, XP, and progress history. It is a supplemental study tool and does not guarantee fluency, academic results, certification, or any specific outcome.
4. Account and security
Access uses a Google account and Firebase Authentication. You must provide accurate information to the provider, protect your device, and report unauthorized access. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred, or shared in a way that compromises security.
5. Use by minors
The content is suitable for different age groups, and we do not collect dates of birth. Children and teenagers should use Palang with the knowledge, guidance, and authorization of a parent or guardian, who should monitor use and understand the data processing in the Privacy Policy. The minor’s best interests must prevail.
6. Permitted use
You may use Palang for personal educational purposes. You may not:
- bypass authentication, security rules, technical limits, or access controls;
- disrupt the service, exploit vulnerabilities, or introduce malicious code;
- systematically copy, extract, or redistribute the catalog, audio, visual identity, or software;
- use the service unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of third-party rights.
7. Content, intellectual property, and AI
The software, brand, interface, lesson texts and organization, artwork, and audio are protected by applicable law and remain with their respective owners. We grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use.
Practice voices are synthesized by artificial intelligence from editorial catalog text. They do not represent real people, may contain pronunciation inaccuracies, and are not professional advice.
8. Availability and changes
We may correct, update, replace, or remove content and features. Maintenance, user connectivity, external providers, or events beyond our control may cause interruptions. We aim to keep the service secure and functional but do not promise uninterrupted operation.
9. Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access in cases of fraud, security risk, violation of these Terms, or legal duty, using proportionate measures when possible. You may close your account from the profile at any time; see Account deletion.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss caused solely by connectivity, devices, third-party services, use contrary to instructions, or unavoidable events. These Terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains personal data categories, purposes, sharing, retention, transfers, and rights.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or security changes. We will publish the new date and provide appropriate notice for material changes.
13. Governing law and disputes
The laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil apply. Disputes may be submitted to the appropriate authorities while preserving the consumer’s local venue whenever required by law.
